Business Development Coordinator (Islamabad, Pakistan)

Role: Business Operations Coordinator

Department: Sales and Business Development

Location: Pakistan (Lahore / Karachi / Islamabad), On-site

Job Type: Full Time

Reports To: Country Pakistan Operations

SOL Gulf is looking for a driven and organised Business Operations Coordinator to join its Pakistan commercial team. This is a pivotal role at the operational heart of the Sales and Business Development function — ensuring the commercial pipeline runs with precision, every proposal lands on time, and every business development activity is tracked and followed through. If you bring strong coordination skills, a genuine commercial curiosity, and thrive in a fast-moving technology environment, we would like to hear from you.

Position Summary

  • The Business Operations Coordinator is the operational backbone of SOL Gulf’s commercial function, supporting the end-to-end pipeline from lead identification and qualification through proposal submission and contract execution. The role sits at the intersection of business development, sales operations, and client engagement, ensuring the commercial engine runs with precision and consistency.
  • This is a coordination, research, and execution role. The Business Operations Coordinator manages CRM pipeline hygiene, coordinates proposal and RFP responses, supports senior account managers and commercial leads, and ensures every business development activity is tracked, followed up, and reported accurately. The role is designed to grow: a high performer will progressively take on greater commercial responsibility as the Pakistan practice scales.
  •

Key Responsibilities

Pipeline Management and CRM Operations

  • Maintain and update the CRM system with accurate and current pipeline data, opportunity status, meeting notes, and follow-up actions across all active commercial opportunities.
  • Track and report on business development pipeline metrics, conversion rates, and commercial activity KPIs on a weekly and monthly basis for SOL Gulf leadership.
  • Coordinate follow-up actions and support commercial leads in preparing pipeline reviews, forecast reports, and performance dashboards — ensuring no lead or client commitment falls through.

Proposal and Bid Coordination

  • Coordinate the end-to-end preparation of proposals, RFP responses, and capability presentations by working across delivery, technical, and finance teams to gather and consolidate inputs.
  • Maintain a regularly updated library of reusable proposal content including company credentials, service descriptions, technical profiles, case studies, and team biographies.
  • Ensure all proposals and submissions are professionally formatted, thoroughly proofread, and delivered on time and in full accordance with client or tender requirements.
  • Track proposal outcomes and maintain a win and loss log to surface patterns and inform future bid strategy and content improvements.

Market Research and Prospecting Support

  • Conduct targeted research on prospect organisations, industry sectors, and key decision-makers to support lead generation, account planning, and go-to-market prioritisation.
  • Monitor market developments, competitor positioning, and technology trends relevant to SOL Gulf’s service lines and flag relevant intelligence to the BD team.
  • Prepare concise briefing notes ahead of client meetings and pitch presentations, and flag new business opportunities, industry conferences, and partnership prospects for the commercial leadership team.
  • Client Communication and Engagement Support
  • Support the Key Accounts Manager and commercial leads in managing day-to-day client communications, meeting scheduling, and prompt follow-up correspondence.
  • Prepare professional meeting agendas, executive presentation decks, and post-meeting action trackers, ensuring every client interaction is well-prepared and well-documented.
  •
  • Coordinate client visits, business development events, and stakeholder meetings including logistics, materials preparation, and on-the-day support.

Qualifications and Experience

  • 2 to 5 years of experience in a business development, sales coordination, or commercial operations role within a technology, consulting, or professional services environment.
  • Hands-on experience working with CRM platforms such as Salesforce, HubSpot, Zoho, or equivalent is required; ability to generate pipeline reports and maintain data quality is essential.
  • Proven ability to coordinate complex, multi-contributor proposals or bid responses under tight deadlines, managing multiple inputs and review cycles without losing quality or timing.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English; Urdu fluency is essential for the Pakistan market.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly PowerPoint, Word, and Excel; experience with proposal design tools or presentation platforms is a strong advantage.
  • Highly organised, detail-oriented, and proactive: able to manage multiple concurrent workstreams, set and meet self-imposed deadlines, and operate with minimal supervision.
  • A genuine commercial mindset: interested in how businesses grow, how enterprise technology deals are structured, and what makes clients choose one partner over another.
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-moving, entrepreneurial environment where priorities shift and the ability to adapt quickly is as important as technical skill.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Arabic language skills are an advantage for regional collaboration with SOL Gulf leadership across Saudi Arabia and UAE.
